Important Booking & Availability Information
⚠️ NC State Regulation Compliance: Per North Carolina General Statute § 106-545.2, we cannot permit goslings to leave our farm until they reach 8 weeks of age. So, we raise them past the fragile stage to meet North Carolina's legal 8-week minimum.
Because our goslings are recently hatched, we are currently operating on a pre-order basis only. Secure your choice of variety today, and we will coordinate a local farm pickup date with you as soon as they reach their legal 8-week milestone. This means we have absorbed the costs of high-quality specialty feed, electricity for heat lamps, labor, and the risk of early loss.
Deposit: $20.00 per gosling to hold.
Estimated Pickup Window: Anytime after July 12th.
Location: Local farm pickup only. We do not ship live birds.
About the Breed: The Elegant Chinese Goose
Chinese geese are widely considered the most graceful and elegant of all domestic goose breeds. Descended from the wild Asiatic Swan Goose, they are easily recognized by their long, arched necks and the distinct basal knob at the top of their bill.
Why Choose Chinese Geese?
Excellent Weeders: If you have orchard rows, berry patches, or garden perimeters that need managing, Chinese geese are world-class foragers. They love grasses and soft-stemmed weeds, helping you keep pastures clean without chemicals.
Vigilant Farm Sentinels: They are highly alert and naturally vocal when anything unusual enters their territory. Their loud honks make them exceptional "watchdogs" to sound the alarm against potential predators or visitors.
Superb Egg Production: For a goose, they are remarkably productive, often laying between 40 to 100 large, white eggs per year, primarily during the spring breeding season.
Lightweight & Active: Weighing in around 8 to 12 lbs at maturity, they are lighter and far more active than heavy breeds like Toulouse or Embdens, allowing them to forage efficiently across larger acreage.
Color Varieties Available
White: Features pure, snow-white plumage, bright orange shanks and feet, and a striking orange knob and bill.
Brown: Features a beautiful, rich palette of brown, fawn, and cream feathers, highlighted by a dark brown stripe running down the back of the neck. Their bill and knob are a deep blackish-brown.
